Food Academy

Marketing cooking studio for international food company in former warehouse.

GranFood, specialist in sales, distribution and marketing of international A-brand foods is a subsidiary of GBfoods, one of Europe’s largest food companies, and is active in Italy, Spain, Africa, Russia and the Benelux. Its very motivated team has years of experience and local know-how regarding shopper- trade- and product marketing, sales, supply chain, customer service and finance and offers full-service support to brands such as Grand’Italia, Ocean Spray, Saitaku, Devos & Lemmens and Ponti.

GranFood decided to extend its services with an in-house Food Academy where it informs, inspires and activates its extensive clientele in matters related to the product innovation, development, presentation and preparation of food. The Food Academy is equipped with a state of the art cooking studio including a large cooking island with a double induction cooker, and cameras recording everything prepared in the kitchen and displaying this live onto a large screen. Clients can join, sitting on bar stools by the large island or on very comfortable leather chairs by the sturdy oak dining table in the middle of the Food Academy. From a seating area in the corner, one-on-one conversations can be held and GranFood can interview the chefs and other food specialists for their clients to watch live.

The former warehouse has kept its industrial character by carrying this style through in its interior, characterised by the kitchen island finished off with steel sheet piling and equipped with a cove of aged wood that hides the extractor fan. Wall cupboards fitted with oak shelves and metro tiles, black steel glass walls, an open ceiling, bicoloured concrete stucco, robust furniture and old green, grey and brown tints complete the room’s industrial look & feel. The new board room is located at the back behind the glass walls. It has the same characteristic style and is equipped with the latest gadgets for digital presentation and video conferencing. So if relevant, GranFood’s foreign mother company can easily tap in in the food innovation activities in this brand new Food Academy.
